Results 3rd International Philippine Finswimming Competition 2010
Here to you all the result about the 3rd Internationa Philippine Finswimming Competition 2010 here in the Philipppines. One of the highlights of the competition is the installation of a nipa hut(bahay kubo in Phil. language) underwater with a plaque of commitment of each participating country to help in the conservation of marine life in the country.
Filipino and foreign delegates of the 3rd International Philippine Finswimming Competition install an atificial reef modeled after the bahay kubo or nipa hut off Anilao, Batangas province , south of Manila, Philippines on 21 February 2010. This year, participants from countries including Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Georgia, Pakistan, Macau , Hongkong, Indonesia and Canada initiate the installation of an artificial reef, modeled after the bahay kubo or the nipa hut, a structural housing common in the Philippines. According to their statement they plan to put up more artificial reefs, each year, showcasing a different symbolic abode of another country. These artificial reefs will foster a sense of an international community working together as stewards of nature.
