The 1st and 2nd October 2011 a course of introduction to Finswimming was held in the pool ABVE (Association of Volunteer Fire Estoril) of Lisbon, (Portugal). The FPAS (Portuguese Federation of Underwater Activities) has the initiative to actively promote dynamic apnea, shooting underwater and Finswimming (Natação com Barbatanas) and so he invited three members of the FEDA (Spanish Federation of Underwater Activities) to teach the course.

Vediamo in Prima posizione la squadra Record Team Bologna con 2296 punti, seguita a ruota dalla Nord Padania Sub Varedo con 1794 punti e subito dopo la A.D.S. Belle Arti di Roma con un totale di 1329 punti. Da notare che esistono ben 26 squadre che non hanno totalizzato alcun punto. Tra cui i Carabinieri Napoli che hanno cessato l’attività agonistica.

Immancabile l’appuntamento con la kermesse sportiva, che ogni anno vede premiati i migliori atleti e squadre dei Comuni di Bovisio Masciago, Cesano Maderno, Limbiate e Varedo, organizzata in collaborazione con gli Assessorati allo Sport dei quattro Comuni. Ospiti Stefano Figini e Soliman El Sayed che, nella puntata dello “Show dei record” condotto da Gerry Scotti, registrata il 5 maggio scorso al Lido Azzurro di Varedo, hanno battuto il record mondiale di spinta verso l’alto con la monopinna.

Next Finswimming Competitions season is coming soon, and as you clearly see in the title, we just want to wonder if you are going to go on training and compete on the next year. Or you just want to lay on the sofa like Homer Simpson uses to do almost every day??

Wow that was a very good Year for the Finswimming World. In less than a month the two major Competitions took place in Hungary. We saw a lot of Fights and Records Broken in the Junior European Championships in Miskolc and the Senior World Championships in Hódmezővásárhely! Now the time for a really deserved holiday has come! Soo see ya in September and October for the next and the last competitions of the 2010/2011 Season like the Final round of the Cmas World Cup and other ones! Ps. I am so sorry to have left you during the Finswimming World Championships, but as you can easily imagine, Finswimmer Magazine is not my primary job, I do it for free and for fun. Instead I got another work and I have to follow other timing rules…and I’m so lucky that I can manage both of them at the same time
