After 10 days from the TV Show, the episode will be watchable by everyone on the Web TV FIPSAS.

They will be biweekly: the Tg will be directed by the Fipsas Agency and Stefano Sarti, while in the studios there wil be Stefano Bastianacci and Valentina Cerrone.

This is a very sad story of a Mexican Finswimmer. Finswimmer Magazine wants to give support and visibility because things like that should never happen. He sent me an open letter to explain his history. Please use 5 minutes of your time to read what he has to say. Thank you.

“My name is Salvador Yered Badillo Enríquez and I’m Finswimmer since I was 12 years old. Since that age I train like all the finswimmers who follow their dream to become a World Champion.

In 2010, I published a personal point of view about an award. The Federación Mexicana de Actividades Subacuaticas, FMAS (Underwater Mexican Federation) started a Pursuit against me. FMAS sent me a letter asking me to submit to appear and give substance to my point of view. At the office, the chief of the Federation attacked me verbally and they were trying to force me to retract what I wrote or otherwise I would have been excluded from the National Team that would represent Mexico in the 3rd Cup CMAS America Zone.

I competed in the Finswimming Mexican Championships where I was National Champion in 200m sf, 400m sf and 1500m sf. I sent the first apologies to the Federation. Minutes after, I received an e-mail from Rogelio Flores Aguilera, the Federation’s President, where He said me that it was not sufficient. And he threatened me again. I sent my second apologies, but anyway the FMAS put me out from the Mexican National Team.
Before this I signed a contract like an image sportman with an Company, and when a I was kicked out from the Mexican Team, the contract was broken.

In June 2010, the FMAS called for another National Championship and I was denied to attend to it. In August 2010, I came in the last round of the World Cup CMAS in the city of Bogota (Colombia) and some minutes before my race, the organization notified to me that I couldn’t compete because Rogelio Flores had sent a document in which he was asking to let me out from the Competition.
I started a legal fight against the FMAS and Rogelio Flores, because all that actions that the FMAS were made out all the legal procedures.
More than one occasion, the president of FMAS called me to my mobile threatening me, and he sent me a lot of emails where he did the same.

In 2011, FMAS let me out from all the competitions yet. We went to Mexican Sport Court. The court said: “the Federación Mexicana de Actividades Subacuaticas (Underwater Mexican Federation) has broken National Contitutional laws, National sport laws, and FMAS laws. FMAS and Rogelio Flores abused the power against me. But the Mexican Sport Court only asked them to let me compete again, but this sentence couldn’t repair the hurt.

Then the Federation and me went to the Federal Court.

And then, on last Monday (May 14th, 2012), the Mexican Federal Court pronounced the sentence condemning the FMAS to pay a fine for approximately $150,000.00 US Dollars.

My story shows that the corruption and autority abuse against athletes by directors should never happen and they have to be punished.”

Here all the partecipating Countries for the next Junior Finswimming World Championships that will take place in the city of Graz (Austria) on July 15th-20th 2012. The National Teams are China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia,  Slovakia, Spain, Suisse, Taiwan, Ukraine, Venezuela and last but not least Austria. We are very very surprise that Venezuela will not be partecipating to it, it would have good chances to get medals, for example with Aziz Figarella who is one of the fastest boys in the World with bifins! We hope that it’s an error from the Web Site reporting the new. Ok Miguel from Sportalsub just told us that Venezuela is going to partecipate to the Junior World Championship too!!

1) Hello! At the moment you are one of the best bifins junior finswimmers all over the World. Tell us something about you and your life (so how you discovered Finswimming, what are you studying, what do you want to do in the future)

AZIZ: I discovered the finswimming because a friend was practicing it a lot and I was bored of classic swimming so I started to train with him, I got not much time doing this so I have to keep training..I’m almost to finish the Secondary School and I want to become the faster swimmer ever.. just like that!

MARTIN: I am a student of the Secondary grammar school in Novy Jicin. I have been swimming since I was in the second class of the primary school. At first, I did not know what finswimming was. Now it is my life. I haven’t got much free time, so that I am not bored. In the future I want to swim. It is a pity that finswimming is not in an Olympic event, so it won’t be my future job. But first of all I have to finish my studies at the secondary school and then continue at University but I do not know which University I will choose.

2) In a month you made 3 youth World Records, the first is Martin on Cmas World Cup in Lignano, then Aziz on the Panamericano, and again Martin on Cmas World Cup in Poland. You know that probably you will have to fight in Austria this Summer? How do you feel about it?

AZIZ: I’m glad to feel that there is another guy that is really fast so we both have to make our most effort to win I think none of us will let the other win easily

MARTIN: Yes, I know it. I feel well. It is good that Aziz is one of the best juniors, because I want to beat him. I want to swim faster and faster, and I am looking forward to this race.

3) How much do you train per week? Tell us a your “usual day” since the morning until the night.

AZIZ: Hahaha this is not a good question because I’m very very lazy I barely train or I just go when I feel good and in a normal day I got to go to school and then I swim. Easy days!

MARTIN: I have 12 trainings per week. For example, on Wednesday. I get up at 5 o’clock. I eat my breakfast and after that I have my first 1,5hour long training in water. I swim from 6 to 7:30 am. Then I go to school. At school I have a big snack and lunch. That day our lessons finish at 13:30 pm. Afterwards we have H.E.A.T training and then POWERPLATE lesson. Sometimes I also go to a gym and come home at 6 pm. I study a little, have my dinner and at about 9 p.m. go to bed.

4) What do you think about Finswimming and what do you expect from it?

AZIZ: I think it’s going to be Olympic but we just have to wait, I like it.. It makes me free underwater

MARTIN: I would like to be a World Champion. And of course the World Record holder…

5) How did you feel after you swam the World Record on 50bf?

AZIZ: I was a little disappointed because it was not my best time it’s far away from it indeed but I was happy when I received my medal and I listened my nacional song

MARTIN: I wanted to break this time last year. Before the race my best friend Jakub Jarolim taught me the start, finish and concentration. When I saw this time on the timer I couldn’t believe it. It was an indescribable feeling for me. I felt like the fastest junior in the world . Several next days it was for me quite strange time because I started to be a little bit naughty. Maybe I behaved like a boffin. It is fortunately far away.

6) Some funny questions: what’s your favourite food?

AZIZ: I think its pizza xD I don’t eat too much

MARTIN: My favourite dish is Spaghetti, but only my mum can cook it deliciously

7) Who is your favourite Finswimmer, for example a point of reference? And more generally, your favourite Sportsman? And Why?

AZIZ: definitely is Cesar Cielo, the world record in 50 meters and 100 meters in classic swimming and he is latin American that’s why he is my favorite sportsman

MARTIN: My favourite finswimmer? Probably nobody. Maybe Pavel Kabanov. His results are incredible. I want to swim like him. And my favourite sportsman is definitely Usain Bolt. He has achieved something impossible.

I know you never met each other in the past competitions, are you curious to meet?

AZIZ: I lil bit.. but I want to swim against him.. just to know who is best.. just that

MARTIN: Truthfully, no. He is a rival like others. At the Championship there can be anyone who will swim 50bf faster than me. So I am calm.

AZIZ: No comment

MARTIN: I can tell that I have fulfilled one of my dreams and I want to continue in that. That is all.

Here we publish the official and complete results from the Greek Finswimming Open Championships 2012, taken in the city of Peristeri on May 11-12-13 2012. As probably you already know in those competitions there was a World Record in 200sf by William Baldwin that swam the distance in the marvellous time of 1’20″70. We don’t know yet if the time is official, because it needs an antidoping control to be homologated, so we will wait for some update to be sure.

The previous record was from Stefano Figini 39″89/1’21″01 and the previous one of Cesare Fumarola 39″09/1’21″28, so William is the only one in the World to have swam it under 1’21″, for the moment.

On May 13th 2012 there will be the Long Distance race with 6000m in the Lake de Plantain in PEYROLLES.

Competitors donned their bathing suits and flopped around in their flippers during the National Flipper Race held at Dam Square in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on May 9, 2012. This “competition” has a meaning, it is used to indicate that the Summer Sea Season is starting! Nice and funny idea!

The Olympic open swimming pool is 50mt long, with nr. 8 lines, deep from 1,40 to 3.80 meters.

Important initiative by the Veneto Region.

Thanks to an agreement signed in 2011 between the FIPSAS and the Special Olympics Italy an important meeting informative and human is renewed for the second consecutive year.

At the Preganziol Swimming Pool, in the province of Treviso (Italy), thanks to the synergy between the Tarvisium Nuoto pinnato Club and the Polisportiva Terraglio Mestre, and their close relations with the Special Olympics Team Veneto, on June 16th 2012 will be hold a full day of meetings and seminar of technical activity for swimming with fins reserved for athletes with disabilities.

An important opportunity open to all registered members of FIPSAS disabilities and Special Olympics during which our federal technicians will guide athletes and their trainers, with sports experiences also often very different from ours, a day aimed to not only learn the basics of swimming with fins in activities with people with disabilities, but especially its advantages in swimming activities.

The program provides not only lessons in the pool, but also simple lessons in the classroom during which the curiosity of these special athletes about our equipment will surely prevail over those of their engineers into a growth of simple questions and statements over the years we have always pleasantly baffled.
