2nd Finswimming Gala della Velocità - Turin - Finswimmer Magazine

The second edition of the “Gala della Velocità” (Speed Gala), a national finswimming competition, will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Trecate pool in Turin. Organized by ASD La Salle Eridano and endorsed by the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities (FIPSAS), this event is expected to bring together a variety of athletes from different categories and skill levels in a 50-meter, eight-lane competition setup.

Event Structure and Regulations

The event is structured in accordance with the FIPSAS regulations, and all participants must agree to these rules as a condition of entry. Competitors are organized by category and are expected to be members of teams registered under the 2024-2025 FIPSAS season. The events will include various finswimming and monofin categories across several distances, including:

50 meters apnea for categories I, II, III, J, and S.
50 meters with fins for younger groups (A1, A2, B1, B2) and older groups (I, II, III, J, and S).
50 meters monofin across age divisions.
50 meters CMAS absolute category for fins and monofins.
50 meters master category for CMAS U45/O45.

Additionally, the event will feature races of 100 meters and 200 meters in fins and monofin styles, catering to various age groups, including master categories. Relay races are also part of the schedule, such as the 4×50 and 4×100 mixed relays, featuring a mix of both male and female athletes. The competition will be held at the Trecate Municipal Pool, located at Via Vasile Alecsandri 27/A in Turin. This 50-meter pool has eight lanes and a variable depth ranging from 1.20 to 3.50 meters. The Trecate facility also offers ample space for spectators to watch the competition.

Registration and Fees

Registrations must be submitted through the online FIPSAS portal (NUOTOSPRINT) by 24:00 on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Late entries will not be accepted, and registration fees are set as follows:
