2nd FRÜHLINGSPOKAL AND 44th SOUTH GERMAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FINSWIMMING 2025

The 2nd Frühlingspokal and 44th South German Championships in Finswimming will take place on March 29-30, 2025, in Erfurt, Germany. The competition is set to bring together top finswimmers from Germany and abroad, following the regulations of the German Diving Sports Federation (VDST) and CMAS.

Participation and Regulations

The event is open to finswimmers with a valid VDST competition license and international athletes whose national federations are CMAS members. All participants must present their official competition documents and a valid medical certificate (not older than one year). Minors need parental consent.

Competitors born between 1995 and 1986 must choose between the Open or Masters category at registration, with no changes allowed afterward.

Competition Format

Races will follow VDST and CMAS rules. Technical equipment checks will be conducted before races. For Bi-Fin and Delphinbewegung (DB) races, only commercially available stereo fins are permitted. The event includes individual and relay races across different distances.

Awards and Points System

The event features multiple ranking systems:

International Open Ranking: Includes all participants regardless of nationality.
South German Ranking: Exclusive to participants from the organizing state diving federations.
South German Cup Ranking: Points awarded based on performance, with the best competitors receiving trophies.
Frühlingspokal Team Ranking: Team standings based on accumulated points, with relay events earning double points.
