Lignano Sabbiadoro to Host the 5th Forum Iulii Finswimming Trophy
December 6–7, 2025 – Bella Italia EFA Village Olympic Pool

The city of Lignano Sabbiadoro (Udine) will once again welcome finswimming athletes from across Italy and abroad for the 5th Forum Iulii Finswimming Trophy, taking place from December 6 to 7, 2025, at the Bella Italia EFA Village Olympic Pool.

Location: Lignano Sabbiadoro, Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 33054, Italia

Organized by Unione Nuoto Friuli SSD and held within the 3rd Union Water Cup, the event is officially recognized as both a National Finswimming Competition and the 2nd Stage of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Finswimming Championship 2026. The competition is included in the official FIPSAS calendar and will feature participation from clubs throughout the country as well as international athletes.

The races will take place in a 50-meter, 8-lane pool, with events scheduled for youth (Esordienti), junior, senior, and master categories. The program will include all major finswimming distances, from 50 to 1500 meters, with bifins, monofin, and apnea disciplines, as well as relay events.

A maximum of 400 athletes are expected to compete, divided among youth, absolute, and master divisions. The competition will use electronic timing managed by the Italian Federation of Timekeepers (F.I.Cr.) and the FIPSAS jury of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Awards will be presented to the top three athletes in each category and event, with commemorative medals for all young participants and special trophies for the best-performing clubs. Results will also contribute to the overall standings of the 3rd Union Water Cup 2025.

This event reaffirms Lignano Sabbiadoro’s role as one of Italy’s most dynamic centers for aquatic sports, bringing together passion, performance, and the spirit of unity that characterizes the underwater sports community.
