Finswimming is one of the most exciting water sport ever. Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. 5th Sardinia Finswimming – Cagliari 2025

The island of Sardinia is ready to welcome finswimmers from all over Italy and beyond for the 5th edition of the Sardinia Finswimming, scheduled on November 22–23, 2025, at the Piscina Comunale Olimpionica “G. Sicbaldi” in Cagliari.

Organized by A.S.D. Water Life S.C. with the approval of FIPSAS Sardegna, the event will be held in a 50-meter pool with 8 lanes, providing an excellent stage for athletes of all categories to challenge themselves in speed and endurance.

✅ Participation & Categories

The competition is open to all clubs regularly affiliated with FIPSAS/CMAS for the current year. Athletes must hold a valid membership and medical certificate for competitive sports.

1°, 2°, 3° Category, Assoluti, Master
Paralympic (Unified): Physical, Sensory, Intellectual-Relational

Each athlete can enter a maximum of 5 races, with only one race per distance, following FIPSAS regulations for youth and CMAS rules for Absolute and Master.

Individual medals for the top 3 athletes per gender, category, and distance.
Club rankings based on points from individual results (1st place = 50 pts, 2nd = 46 pts, … down to 24th place = 1 pt).
Podium for the top 3 clubs.

⚖️ Rules & Organization

Complaints must be filed within 30 minutes after the race, with a €25 fee.
Official refereeing by FIPSAS judges and automatic timing system.
