Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. 5th WEST FINFIESTA – Interclub Finswimming Meet in Peristeri (Greece) – November 2025 - Finswimmer Magazine

The club “Glafkos Peristeriou” announces the organization of an interclub finswimming meet entitled “5th WEST FINFIESTA”, held under the authority and official approval of the Hellenic Swimming Federation (K.O.E.).

The event will take place at the Municipal Swimming Pool of Peristeri (Pefkon & Eukalypton) on Sunday, 16 November 2025, and clubs from all over Greece are invited to participate.

Location: Περιστέρι, 4th District of Peristeri, Municipality of Peristeri, Regional Unit of West Athens, Attica, 121 34, Grecia

Purpose of the event

The goal of this initiative is to:

promote finswimming to the local and broader public of Western Athens and Greece
offer competition experience to athletes of different clubs
develop collaboration and sporting culture through interclub meetings

The meet will be conducted following the current Health Protocol of the Hellenic Swimming Federation valid at the date of the event.

The exact timetable of races will be announced after all entries are submitted.

Race Program

The schedule includes a very wide range of distances and disciplines for both boys and girls:

50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m Surface
50m, 100m, 200m, 400m Bifins
50m Apnea
100m and 200m Underwater

This makes the West FinFiesta one of the most complete sprint + middle-distance finswimming meetings of the early season, allowing many athletes to test their race rhythm immediately after autumn training blocks.

All race entries must be submitted electronically on the official K.O.E. platform

By Thursday 13 November 2025, 14:00, each club must upload proof of payment of the fees on the K.O.E. Entries / Financial Control section.
If payment proof is not uploaded, the entries will not be included in the event.

Participation Fees

€13 per athlete (paid to Glafkos Peristeriou)
plus €5 per athlete as K.O.E. fee (paid to the Hellenic Swimming Federation)

Total cost for each club will be calculated based on the total number of declared athletes.
