India’s underwater sports community is preparing for one of the most significant national events of the season: the 8th All India Finswimming Federation Cup 2025–26, held in conjunction with the 2nd National Finswimming Master Championship. Scheduled from 23rd to 26th January 2026, the competition will take place in Pune, Maharashtra, a city increasingly recognized as a hub for high-level aquatic sport.
📍 Venue: Pune, Maharashtra
📅 Dates: 23rd – 26th January 2026
Organised by the Maharashtra Unit under the aegis of the Underwater Sports Association India (USAI), the event will bring together the country’s finest finswimmers, representing clubs, states, and institutional teams from across India. Over four days of intense competition, athletes will compete in a range of finswimming disciplines, showcasing speed, technique, endurance, and tactical excellence in the pool.
The All India Finswimming Federation Cup has, over the years, established itself as a key fixture in the national calendar. It serves not only as a prestigious title to win, but also as a crucial benchmark for athlete development, performance evaluation, and future international selection. The 2025–26 edition is expected to feature a high technical standard, with emerging talents lining up alongside established national-level competitors.
Running alongside the Federation Cup, the 2nd National Finswimming Master Championship highlights the growing inclusivity and maturity of the sport in India. The Masters category provides experienced athletes the opportunity to continue competing at a national level, promoting lifelong engagement with finswimming and reinforcing the values of discipline, fitness, and competitive spirit beyond the traditional elite age groups.
Pune’s selection as host city reflects both its strong sporting infrastructure and the commitment of the Maharashtra Unit to the development of underwater sports. The venue is expected to offer athletes optimal racing conditions, while ensuring high organizational standards for officials, coaches, and support staff.
Beyond medals and rankings, the event represents an important moment for the Indian finswimming community. It fosters exchange between regions, strengthens institutional collaboration, and contributes to the long-term growth of underwater sports under the governance of USAI. For athletes, it is an opportunity to test their preparation at the highest national level; for the sport, it is a celebration of progress, dedication, and competitive excellence.
As the countdown to January begins, all eyes will be on Pune, where speed, technique, and passion will converge beneath the surface.
