The All-Russian Underwater Sports Competitions officially got underway in Chelyabinsk with a live broadcast of the first competition day from the Stroitel Swimming Pool, one of the region’s key aquatic sports venues. The event, held from 26 to 30 January, brings together young athletes from across Russia to compete in multiple underwater disciplines under the auspices of the Federation of Underwater Sports of Russia.
The opening day featured a full program of races and organizational activities, showcasing the breadth and technical diversity of underwater sports. Disciplines included finswimming, classic fins swimming, snorkelling, and diving, with events contested by girls, boys, junior women, and junior men.
The Stroitel swimming pool provided a professional setting for the competitions, ensuring optimal conditions for both athletes and officials. The venue has long been recognized as a hub for aquatic sports in the Chelyabinsk region and once again confirmed its suitability for hosting national-level events.
