On December 7–8, 2024, the city of Achinsk in the Krasnoyarsk region hosted a landmark event in the 25-meter “Neptun” swimming pool at the MBU “GSC” Olymp. The Open City Competitions in Finswimming were dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of underwater sports in Achinsk, showcasing the city’s rich tradition and enthusiasm for the sport.

The competition saw participants from Achinsk and neighboring regions competing across various categories, from junior to senior levels. Athletes displayed exceptional skill in classic finswimming and modern variations of the sport.

50m Classic Finswimming (Girls, 2007–2008): Darina Kupreeva of Achinsk set the bar high with a 24.08-second finish, achieving the highest rank in her category.
100m Finswimming (Boys, 2013–2014): Ruslan Sivoous of Krasnoyarsk’s Dianema club led with an impressive 27.34 seconds, demonstrating remarkable potential among young athletes.
