CMAS Finswimming World Cup 2024 Round 2 – Lignano Sabbiadoro - Finswimmer Magazine

The CMAS Finswimming World Cup 2024 Round 2 will be held in the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) on March 21-24 2024.

This is the only round of the CMAS Finswimming World Cup that has 6 sessions instead of 5. The explaination by Alexandrod Xiarcos is the folowing:

We would like to inform you that the request of the organizing committee to hold the Finswimming World Cup scheduled to be held in Lignano 21 – 24 March 2024, in six instead of five competition sessions was accepted by the Finswimming Commission and the CMAS President of Sport Committee.
This decision concerns only the World Cup in Lignano, due to the large participation recorded last years and aims to facilitate the organizing committee in its work, but at the same time to ensure the appropriate conditions for the athletes who will take part.

The competition is governed by CMAS Finswimming Rules, by CMAS Finswimming World Cup Rules, and by the present Specific Rules that every athlete, – with his/her enrolment – affirms to know and agrees to strictly follow.

UPDATE. The number of participations is incredible. In total we can see 131 Finswimming Clubs with a total of 2933 races. We still don’t know the exact number of participants but they may be about 650.
