CMAS Swimsuit QR Code Regulation Update

The CMAS Sports Committee has announced a significant update regarding swimsuit regulations for finswimming competitions. Effective January 1, 2024, athletes participating in CMAS events using Jaked swimsuits must ensure their suits feature an integrated QR code.

This requirement will expand starting January 1, 2025, making the QR code mandatory on all swimsuits used in CMAS international competitions. Federations are urged to verify compliance to avoid disqualification during Technical Meetings or Call Room inspections.

Athletes with swimsuits purchased in 2024 without a QR code should contact their suppliers, as all vendors have been informed of this rule. Federations must communicate this regulation to their members to ensure seamless participation in future events.

Dear Federations,
We hope this letter finds you well. As previously communicated in the letter dated February 6th, 2024, from the CMAS Finswimming Commission Director, Mr. Alexandros Xiarchos, starting January 1st, 2024, all athletes participating in CMAS competitions with Jaked swimsuits should have an integrated QR code on their swimsuit.
Please note the following important update:
From 1st January 2025, the QR code is mandatory on all swimsuits of athletes participating in CMAS competitions. Please, ensure that all athletes registered for CMAS international competitions are equipped with swimsuits bearing the mandatory QR code.
If any swimsuits purchased on 2024 lack a QR code, please contact your supplier or seller.
They have been informed of this requirement and are equipped to provide the necessary QR codes.
Swimsuits will be inspected during Technical Meetings and in the Call Rooms at all CMAS competitions. Non-compliance may result in the athlete being unable to compete.
We kindly request that you communicate this information to all relevant parties within your Federation to avoid any issues during the competitions. Your adherence to this regulation is greatly appreciated, as it ensures uniformity and compliance across all participating athletes.
