“Day of Stayer” Finswimming Competitions Held in Krasnoyarsk
On 17 January 2026, the city of Krasnoyarsk hosted the city and regional underwater sports competitions titled “Day of Stayer”, dedicated to long-distance finswimming events. The competition took place at the DWS SibSU swimming pool, a 50-meter indoor facility, and brought together athletes from across the Krasnoyarsk region.
The “Day of Stayer” is a traditional event in the regional finswimming calendar, specifically focused on endurance disciplines. It provides an important competitive platform for athletes specializing in middle- and long-distance races, allowing them to test their aerobic capacity, race strategy, and technical efficiency under official competition conditions.
Throughout the day, swimmers competed in finswimming events that emphasized sustained speed, efficient technique, and tactical pacing. The event featured a broad range of age categories, highlighting both experienced athletes and promising young talents. For many participants, the competition served as a key benchmark at the beginning of the competitive season, offering valuable feedback for subsequent training phases.
