BÁCSVÍZ CUP 2025: THE FINSWIMMING COMPETITION IN KECSKEMÉT

Location: Kecskeméti Fürdő, 5, Csabay Géza körút, Széktó-lakópark, Széktói liget, Kecskemét, Kecskeméti járás, Bács-Kiskun, South Great Plain, Great Plain and North, 6000, Ungheria

The next edition of the Bácsvíz Cup 2025 finswimming competition will take place on February 22 at the Kecskemét Swimming Pool. The event aims to promote the sport and provide competition opportunities for all age groups.

Location and Date

The competition will be held at the Kecskemét Swimming Pool (6000 Kecskemét, Csabay Géza körút 5.), featuring a 50-meter, 10-lane pool. The water temperature will be maintained at 26°C ±1°C, and the races will be electronically timed.

Organization and Participation Requirements

The competition is organized by the Bácsvíz-KVSC Finswimming Section, with co-organization by Hírös Sport Nonprofit Kft. The panel of referees will be designated at a later date.

Athletes eligible to participate are those affiliated with MBSZ (Hungarian Diving Federation) member organizations who:

  • Have paid the 2025 MBSZ membership fee.
  • Have no outstanding debts to MBSZ.
  • Have registered correctly before the deadline.

International athletes may also participate if their national federation is a member of CMAS (World Underwater Federation) and they have completed their registration before the deadline.

Registration and Entry Fee

Registration will be done online via the Hungarian Diving Federation’s portal (https://portal.buvar.hu). The registration period runs from February 7-17, 2025, with modifications allowed until February 20. The entry fee is HUF 5000 per participant, payable in cash at the venue.

Competition Rules and Format

The competition will be conducted according to CMAS international regulations and MBSZ national regulations. Individual events will be assigned to heats based on registered times within age groups, with the fastest competitors racing in the final heat.

Relay events allow for “promotion” to a higher age group if no relay is scheduled in an athlete’s designated category.

Final rankings will be determined by timing results, and the top three teams will receive trophies according to the CMAS point system.

Events and Age Groups

Competitors will be categorized into Béka, Cápa, Gyermek, Serdülő, Ifjúsági, Junior, and Adult groups. The main events include:

  • Finswimming (50m, 100m, 200m)
  • Surface swimming (100m, 200m, 400m)
  • Apnea swimming (50m)
  • Finswimming butterfly (50m)
  • Relays: 4x50m and 4x100m mixed (with 2 male and 2 female swimmers per CMAS rules.)

Competition Schedule and Additional Information

The competition will begin on February 22 at 9:00 AM with warm-ups, and races will start at 10:00 AM. Live results can be tracked at https://results.buvar.hu.

Athletes and coaches can enter the event free of charge. The organizers reserve the right to make modifications to the program if necessary, with timely notifications to participants.

The Bácsvíz Cup 2025 promises thrilling races for all finswimming enthusiasts, providing a platform for both national and international athletes to showcase their skills.
