On November 30, 2025, the city of Elektrostal in the Moscow region hosted the fourth stage of the Open Cup of Eastern Moscow Region Cities in Swimming and Underwater Sports. The competition took place at the T.N. Pokrovskaya 50-meter, 8-lane pool and brought together talented finswimmers from across the region and beyond.
Competition Overview
This third-stage event focused specifically on underwater sports disciplines, featuring competitors across multiple age categories from 2007 and older down to athletes born in 2019 and younger. Participants represented various sports clubs and regions including Moscow, Tula, Smolensk, Ryazan, and numerous Moscow region cities.

Girls’ Events
In the girls’ 50m classic fins event, several remarkable performances stood out across different age groups. Ulyana Bataikina from Serpukhov’s “Zvezda” sports school achieved a Master of Sports qualifying time of 23.02 seconds in the 2008 age category, showcasing exceptional technical skill and speed.
In the 2009 category, Darya Bunakova from Tula posted an impressive 23.68 seconds, earning a Candidate Master of Sports standard. The younger categories also delivered strong results, with athletes progressively developing their skills and competing for various ranking standards from Master of Sports down to youth classifications.
Boys’ Events
The boys’ competitions were equally competitive. In the 2007 and older category for 50m classic fins, Artemiy Voronin from “Chaika” sports club in Vysokovsk achieved the Candidate Master of Sports standard with a time of 21.00 seconds.
In the 2009 age group, Nikita Chukarev from Smolensk led with 21.20 seconds, demonstrating the high level of competition across different regions.
Distance Events
The competition also featured longer distances including 100m, 200m, and 400m events in classic fins. These endurance races tested not only speed but also technique and stamina. In the girls’ 100m classic fins for 2008 category, Ulyana Bataikina again excelled with a time of 51.14 seconds, achieving the Candidate Master of Sports standard.
Technical Disciplines
Beyond the classic fin swimming events, the competition included technical disciplines such as surface swimming in fins and underwater diving in length. These events required specialized techniques and breathing control, adding variety to the competition program.
