The 56th German Youth Championships in Finswimming (DJM Finswimming 2026) will be held at the Schwimmhalle Neptun in Rostock from May 1–3, 2026, organized by Tauchsportclub Rostock 1957 e.V. under the VDST.

Age Categories
The competition is open to athletes born between 2009 and 2014, divided into three categories:
- Category B – Born 2009 or 2010 (AK 16/17)
- Category C – Born 2011 or 2012 (AK 14/15)
- Category D – Born 2013 or 2014 (AK 12/13)
For relay events, the category is determined by the oldest team member.

Eligibility & Competition Rules
- Athletes must hold a valid VDST start license. Foreign clubs may participate if their national federation is a CMAS member.
- A sports medical examination dated no more than one year before the competition day is mandatory. Athletes without a valid examination will not be admitted.
- All athletes must have achieved the qualifying time (Limitzeit) in a registered competition held after April 30, 2025. Failure to meet a qualifying time without documentation results in a penalty fee of €12 per infraction.
- Technical checks are carried out at the pre-start area. Athletes must bring their complete equipment and remain there until the heat is cleared.
- Dive tank gauges (DTG) used in the pool must have passed an accredited technical inspection within the last 2.5 years.
- Appeals against disqualifications must be submitted in writing within 20 minutes of results being posted, with a deposit of €30.
Judging Obligations
- Clubs registering fewer than 20 starts must provide one VDST-licensed judge.
- Clubs registering 20 or more starts must provide two VDST-licensed judges.
- Clubs sending only one athlete are exempt from this requirement.
- Failure to provide a judge results in a fee of €100 per session. Foreign clubs are exempt.

Awards & Results
Places 1–3 in each category and gender receive medals and certificates. Where applicable, a separate international ranking with certificates will also be issued. Results will be published no earlier than 72 hours before the start of competition.
