The Open Baltic Cup will bring together finswimmers from across Europe and beyond for a major international competition scheduled for March 21–22, 2026, in Olsztyn, Poland. Organized under the auspices of the Polish Underwater Federation, the event continues to strengthen its reputation as a key fixture on the international finswimming calendar.
Venue and Competition Setting
The races will take place at the WCRS Aquasfera, a modern 50-meter facility equipped with ten lanes, electronic timing, and water temperature maintained at approximately 27°C. The venue provides optimal conditions for high-performance racing across sprint, middle-distance, and endurance events.
Athletes and Categories
The competition is open to a wide range of age groups, from senior open categories to multiple junior divisions based on year of birth. Relay events will also be contested across several age classifications, encouraging team participation alongside individual performances.
Across two full days of racing, athletes will compete in a diverse program that includes surface swimming, bi-fins events, immersion disciplines, apnea sprints, and mixed relays. Distances range from explosive 50-meter races to endurance challenges such as the 1500-meter surface event.
Competition Format and Scoring
Results will be recorded electronically and evaluated using CMAS scoring systems, ensuring standardized international ranking criteria. Overall individual classification will be determined by each athlete’s three best performances, while club rankings will be calculated from combined individual and relay points.
The competition will follow the official rules of the CMAS, with equipment checks conducted by technical judges. Anti-doping regulations from both CMAS and the World Anti-Doping Agency will be strictly enforced as a condition of participation.
Awards and Recognition
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each individual race and relay. Special trophies will honor the best athletes in every category, while team standings will determine the top three clubs overall. Award ceremonies will take place throughout the competition schedule.
Event Logistics and Participation
Registration must be submitted in advance with entry times, and participation fees apply per athlete and relay. Organizers are also offering assistance with accommodation, meals, and airport transfers, helping to facilitate international attendance.
A Key Meeting Point for the Finswimming Community
With its comprehensive program, structured competition format, and international participation, the 2026 Open Baltic Cup is expected to deliver high-level performances and valuable racing experience for athletes of all ages.
