National and Regional Finswimming Event in Italy: 4° Trofeo Forum Iulii 2025

The prestigious 4th Finswimming Trophy Forum Iulii 2025 will take place on January 25th and 26th, 2025, at the Olympic Pool Bella Italia EFA Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. This two-day competition, organized by Unione Nuoto Friuli SSD SRL, serves as both a national finswimming event and the second stage of the Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) Regional Championship of 2025.

Event Highlights

The event caters to a wide range of categories, including pre-competitive, competitive, and masters divisions. Participants will compete across various disciplines and distances, from 50 meters to 1500 meters, using fins, monofins, or in apnea. The races are classified under categories such as Esordienti (B1, B2, A1, A2), 1°, 2°, 3°, Juniors, Seniors, and Masters (A, B, C).

The competition is held in a 50-meter, eight-lane Olympic pool equipped with an advanced electronic timing system provided by F.I.Cr. and the Regional Judging Group of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Schedule Overview

Saturday, January 25, 2025:
The event opens with a technical meeting at 2:30 PM, followed by an array of races, including 200m Monofin and 50m Fins for both youth and adult categories. The highlight will be the 1500m Monofin CMAS race and various relays, including mixed 4x50m events.

Sunday, January 26, 2025:
Starting at 8:30 AM, Sunday will feature high-stamina races like the 800m Monofin CMAS and the 400m races across multiple categories. Masters will also showcase their skills in the 50m Apnea and other events, wrapping up with thrilling relays.

Participation and Awards

A maximum of 360 athletes will be allowed, split among Esordienti (80), Absolutes (200), and Masters (80). Athletes can participate in up to two individual races and one relay per session. Distances qualifying for the FVG Regional Championship will be considered for ranking, with individual and team awards distributed. The top three clubs will also compete for the 2nd Union Water Cup, rewarding the best overall performances across the multi-event.

A Welcoming International Event

The organizers encourage international participation, providing temporary membership and insurance coverage through FIPSAS for foreign athletes. This ensures an inclusive and competitive environment, adding to the event’s prestige.
