From 15 to 18 January 2026, the Cup of the Novosibirsk Region in Underwater Sports took place at the “Neptune” swimming pool (50 meters) in the city of Novosibirsk, bringing together athletes from across the region for one of the most comprehensive underwater sports events of the season.
The competition featured a wide range of underwater disciplines, including apnea, finswimming, classic finswimming, underwater swimming, and diving, highlighting the diversity and technical depth of the sport. Over four days of racing and performances, athletes competed across multiple age categories, demonstrating high levels of preparation, versatility, and competitive spirit.
The Novosibirsk Region Cup serves as a key event in the regional calendar, offering athletes an important opportunity to assess their form early in the season, gain competitive experience, and achieve qualifying results. For younger swimmers, the event represented a valuable developmental milestone, while more experienced competitors used the meet to refine race execution and technical efficiency.
The “Neptune” pool once again confirmed its status as a major venue for underwater sports, providing excellent conditions for both speed- and endurance-based disciplines.
