From March 19 to 22, 2026, the city of Novosibirsk hosted the Novosibirsk Region Championship in underwater sports at the 50-meter “Neptun” swimming pool. The event was held in honor of Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky, adding historical and cultural significance to one of the key regional competitions in finswimming.

- Stanislav Sorokin emerged as one of the dominant figures of the championship. He secured victories in multiple disciplines, including:
- 100m finswimming (35.79)
- 200m finswimming (1:26.07)
- 50m distance diving (14.86)
- Dina Patrusheva claimed gold in the women’s 200m finswimming event with a time of 1:37.87, confirming her high-level consistency in sprint-distance races
- Polina Bannikova dominated the long-distance events, winning:
- 800m finswimming (7:29.67)

- In classical finswimming, Sofia Dorogavtseva stood out with victories in both the 100m and 200m events, showcasing technical efficiency and endurance
