Now it’s official also for FIPSAS. The Finswimming CMAS World Cup Round 2, that had to be taken in Lignano Sabbiadoro from 20 to 22 February 2020, has been postponed. This decision comes after the ongoing circumstancies about the CORONAVIRUS spread in the northers part of Italy.
Translation in english of the official FIPSAS communication:
We inform you that the event called “2nd Round Finswimming World Cup”, instead of taking place from 20 to 22 March p.v., as originally scheduled, will be held from 8 to 10 May p.v.
The location of the event in question remains confirmed in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD).
The decision to postpone this event was dictated by the problems that arose as a result of the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the consequent urgent measures to contain the contagion that were adopted by the competent authorities.
Obviously, if further changes should take place before the aforementioned new dates, it would be the responsibility of the undersigned Federation to promptly notify them.
The new official dates are :
May 8th-10th 2020. The place remains the same, so Lignano Sabbiadoro.
