Kabardinka, Russia – From May 26 to 29, 2025, the coastal resort of Kabardinka in the Krasnodar region will host the annual “Pearl of the Black Sea” swimming tournament, bringing together young swimmers from across Russia for a multi-day event filled with athletic competition and community spirit.
Promoting Health, Sport, and Patriotism
Organized by the “Liga Plavaniya” (Swimming League) in cooperation with the Krasnodar Regional Swimming Federation, the tournament aims to promote swimming as a healthy and accessible sport across Russia. The event is designed to foster physical and spiritual development among youth while encouraging patriotic values.
Venue and Dates
The tournament will be held at the 50-meter pool of the “Zhemchuzhina Morya” Sanatorium in Kabardinka. Teams are expected to arrive on May 26, with official training sessions, athlete check-ins, and briefings for coaches and referees taking place that day. Competitions will run from May 27 to May 29, with departure scheduled for the final day.
Participant Categories
The tournament welcomes athletes from sports schools and clubs across Russia. Age groups for participants in swimming and underwater sports range from:
- Boys and girls 8 years old and younger (born 2017 or later),
- 9–10 years old (2015–2016),
- 11–13 years old (2012–2014),
- 14 years and older (2011 and earlier).
Participants must reside in the sanatorium and pass a medical check to be eligible.
Competition Program
Over three days, athletes will compete in a range of events including:
- Swimming events: freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and individual medley at distances from 50m to 200m.
- Finswimming events: monofin and classic fin races over distances of 50m, 100m, 200m, and 400m.
- Underwater events: such as the 50m immersion dive.
- Relays: 8x50m mixed medley relay and 4x100m fins relay.
Final heats will be held in each discipline, with results split by gender and age category.
Awards and Recognition
Winners and podium finishers will receive medals and diplomas from the Swimming League. Organizers may also present special prizes for standout performances. All awards will be presented at the conclusion of each competition session.
Safety and Regulations
The competition will be conducted under Russian sports ministry regulations and safety standards. On-site medical staff and emergency services will ensure athlete and spectator safety. All venues are officially registered sports facilities.
Financial and Administrative Details
Organizational costs including logistics, media coverage, and awards are funded by the Swimming League and non-budgetary sources. Participating teams are responsible for their own travel, lodging, meals, and insurance.
Registration and Documentation
Applications for participation must be submitted by May 15, 2025, via the Entry Editor software to the email: turnir_sfr@mail.ru. Each team must also submit a signed and stamped nominal entry form, complete with:
- Athlete ID or birth certificate,
- Classification book,
- Health insurance policy,
- Accident insurance policy,
- Consent forms for personal data processing.
