Finswimming is one of the most exciting water sport ever. Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. There are indoor (swimming pools) and open water (sea, lake, rivers) championships.

Save the date: Rheinwellepokal 2025

The official announcement for the 17th Rheinwellepokal has been published.
The competition will take place on November 8–9, 2025 in Germany.

Location: rheinwelle, L 419, Ingelheim-Mitte, Gau-Algesheim, Landkreis Mainz-Bingen, Renania-Palatinato, 55435, Germania

Organizer: Binger Tauchsportclub
Venue planned: “rheinwelle” Gau-Algesheim
(currently under renovation – if not reopened in time, the event will move to Salinenbad, Bad Kreuznach)

Electronic time keeping for all main races.
The program includes all the classic finswimming and apnea disciplines across all age categories – from 15 m apnea for the youngest, up to 1500 m finswimming and relays. Also included: the traditional “Hebeboje + 25m apnea” challenge.

Valid athlete cards and medical clearance are required (≤1 year old, or ≤2 years if adult under 40). VDST rules and anti-doping regulations apply.

Entry deadline: October 25, 2025 at 24:00.

Scoring:
– Individual category ranking (G to Senior)
– Best 5 point results count (4 for G/F)
– Top 3 receive trophies
– Best clubs will also be awarded

This is one of the traditional highlight meetings in the German finswimming calendar, and a great season goal for athletes and clubs who want to test themselves with a full race program over 2 intense days.
