The 2026 CMAS World Cup Finswimming Indoor is set to take place in Barcelona, Spain, from 6 to 8 February 2026, bringing together the world’s fastest finswimmers for one of the most anticipated indoor events on the international calendar .
Hosted under the authority of CMAS and organized by FEDAS with the support of FECDAS, the competition will be held at the iconic Club Natació Barcelona, located directly on the Mediterranean waterfront in the Barceloneta district. The venue features a 50 m indoor pool with 10 lanes, a constant water temperature of 28°C, seating for approximately 500 spectators, and an additional 33 m outdoor saltwater pool available for athlete warm-up throughout the event .
The World Cup will include a comprehensive race program for Senior and Junior categories, with events in Surface (SF), Bi-Fins (BF), Apnea (AP), Immersion (IM), and relays, all conducted in strict compliance with CMAS technical, safety, and equipment regulations. Individual, club, national team, and country classifications will be awarded, alongside medals for all individual and relay events. A special “José Luis Ariño” Memorial Award will honor the best swimmer in each category and gender, based on CMAS scoring tables .
Beyond the competition itself, Barcelona offers an exceptional setting for athletes and delegations. Renowned for its architecture, culture, cuisine, and seaside atmosphere, the city continues its tradition of hosting international sporting events with a strong emphasis on fairness, precision, and respect for the rules. The organizers underline that this World Cup is not only about speed and performance, but also about ensuring standardized conditions, impartial judging, and athlete safety at the highest level .
With three full days of racing, a detailed competition schedule, and strong international participation expected, the 2026 CMAS World Cup Finswimming Indoor in Barcelona promises to be a benchmark event for the discipline and a key moment in the global finswimming season .
