The Swiss Finswimming & Endurance Open Championship 2025 will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Tenero-Contra (Ticino, Switzerland). The event will be hosted at the National Youth Sports Center (Centro Sportivo Nazionale della Gioventù), in the 50-meter Olympic pool with 8 lanes, located at Via alle Brere 10, 6598 Tenero-Contra.
Organized by the Swiss Underwater Sports Federation (SUSV-FSSS) in collaboration with Apnea Nuoto Pinnato Ticino, the competition will be conducted under CMAS international regulations and is open to both Swiss and international athletes.
Registration and Fees
Entries must be submitted exclusively via email using the official form. The deadline is set for midnight on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after which no changes will be accepted.
The registration fees are:
- CHF 20.00 per athlete (valid for all individual events)
- CHF 10.00 per relay
- CHF 20.00 per club
Payments must be made by bank transfer to Apnea Nuoto Pinnato Ticino. Only entries accompanied by proof of payment will be considered valid.
Competition Program
The championship will feature races for youth, junior, senior, and master categories (30+, 40+, etc.), divided into male and female events.
Disciplines include:
- Apnea: 25 m (cat. F-E), 50 m
- Finswimming (monofin): 50 m, 100 m, 200 m
- Bi-fins: 50 m, 100 m, 200 m
- Relays: 4×50 mixed (Esordienti, Junior, Senior)
- Endurance: 2×50 and 4×50 apnea endurance (Junior, Senior, Master)
Provisional schedule:
- Morning session (9:00–12:00): warm-up, 50 NP, 50/25 apnea, 100 BF, 200 NP, relays, endurance
- Afternoon session (13:30–17:00): warm-up, 50 BF, 100 NP, 200 BF, 2×50 endurance, 4×50 endurance
(A final start list and confirmed timetable will be published after registration closes.)
Awards
- Swiss National Championship titles: Top 3 athletes per category (Swiss citizens or residents only). Young beginners will all be called to the podium and receive participation medals.
- National Records: New Swiss records will be officially recognized with certificates and plaques.
- Team Ranking: Top 3 Swiss clubs will be awarded.
- Open Championship: The top 3 male and female athletes in Junior and Senior categories will be recognized.
Additional Information
- Anti-doping regulations will follow WADA rules.
- Lunch is available at the CST cafeteria for CHF 12.00 per person.
- Official timing will be electronic.
- The organizing federation declines any responsibility for damages or accidents occurring before, during, or after the event.
