Finswimming is one of the most exciting water sport ever. Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. Thailand Finswimming Team renounces the CMAS World Cup in Italy [CORONAVIRUS] - Finswimmer Magazine

An official announce has been published in the Facebook page of the Thailand Finswimming Federation. It regards the CMAS Finswimming World Cup 2020 in Italy and the current emergency about the coronavirus. It says the following:

The Diving Association of Thailand, ATUS ASSOCIATION OF THAILAND UNDERWATER SPORTS, announces the Diving Association of Thailand regarding the cancellation of athletes participating in the 2nd round Finswimming World Cup 2020 competition.

Due to the outbreak of a new strain of coronary disease in 2019 (COVID-19) that has been reported in many countries, including the Republic of Italy, which hosts the 2nd round Finswimming World Cup 2020 between 19-23 March 2010 in Lignano Sabbiadoro. In this regard, the Diving Association of Thailand has considered the safety of the health of officials and athletes.

As well as the implementation of measures from the Ministry of Public Health to prevent the spread of the said disease, therefore, should stop sending athletes to participate in the diving sports competition.
