From July 15 to 21, 2025, the Polish city of Olsztyn will host the much-anticipated European Senior Finswimming Indoor Championships — and Italy is set to make a strong showing with a team of thirteen talented athletes, ready to dive into competition with passion, pride, and purpose.
The Italian national team, composed of seven men and six women, represents a blend of experienced champions and promising talents. The roster includes Riccardo Albasi, Fabio Biancalana, Lorenzo Caronno, Christian Degli Esposti, Marco Orsi, Riccardo Romano, and Leonardo Spelta for the men’s team, and Giulia Bruni, Giorgia Destefani, Anna Leonardi, Viola Magoga, Anna Raffaetà, and Giorgia Scagliarini for the women’s team.
These athletes will carry Italy’s colors into one of the most prestigious events on the European finswimming calendar, where they will compete against the continent’s elite and aim to add new pages to the nation’s rich history in this dynamic sport.
Guiding them through the competition will be the head of delegation, Emiliano Zanella, and coaches Silene Furlanetto and Alberto Milan, whose experience and leadership will be crucial in supporting the team’s performance both in and out of the water.
