Finswimming is one of the most exciting water sport ever. Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. There are indoor (swimming pools) and open water (sea, lake, rivers) championships.

The Nautical Club of Chania under the auspices of the Greek Swimming Federation (G.S.F.) and the cooperation of the Region of Crete, the Regional Unit of Chania and the Municipality of Chania, organize the VENIZELEIA AQUATICS 2024 -2nd INTERNATIONAL FINSWIMMING COMPETITION, to be held in Chania, on April 20 & 21, 2024.

The event is part of the qualification matches for the athletes for the National Teams (for Men’s – Women’s World Championship and the European Junior – Juveniles Championship). Athletes from clubs belonging to the G.S.F. and have a sports recognition by the General Secretariat of Sports (G.S.S.), have the right to participate as long as athletes from foreign countries whose federations belong to CMAS.

Declarations of Participation
Competition participation declarations must be sent by Monday, April 15, 2024 at 15:30, to the following mail: swimming@koe.org.gr

Deletions
Any deletions or corrections must be made by Thursday, April 18, 2024 and time 13.30 to the following mail: swimming@koe.org.gr

Cost of Participation
The cost of participation per competitive athlete is €15, regardless of number of participation in the individual events (based on sub.prot. 622/E, 30/1/2018 decision of the G.S.F., the €3 of participation are attributed to the Greek Swimming Federation).
The amount attributable to each union must be paid to the secretary and the financial manager, who will be in the secretariat of the games, before their start.

Opening Ceremony
An opening ceremony will be held on Saturday 20/04 in the afternoon, after the end of the warm-up, with a parade of the clubs.
