This September, the city of Tunis will open its arms and its waters to the vibrant energy of young athletes from across the Arab world and Africa. From 2nd to 7th September 2025, Tunisia proudly hosts the CMAS African and Arab Finswimming Age Group Competition, a prestigious event where youth, culture, and athletic excellence come together in an unforgettable experience.

Championship Venues: Excellence in Every Detail
Indoor Events – Olympic Swimming Pool of Rades
This world-class facility features a 50-meter, 10-lane competition pool with spectator seating for 500. Equipped with modern amenities and optimal water conditions (24–28°C), it’s a venue worthy of future champions.
Open Water Events – Lake of Tunis
The serene waters of the lake provide a safe and spectator-friendly setting for the open water events. With ideal course setup conditions and ample shoreline space, it’s the perfect environment for a thrilling race day.
Who Can Participate?
The championship is open to youth finswimmers in the following age categories:
- Category C: 14–15 years old
- Category D: 12–13 years old
Athletes must hold a valid CMAS license and ADEL certificate, and must comply with CMAS rules. Even athletes from countries without a CMAS federation can participate individually by securing a “Super License” from CMAS.
Races and Relays
Participants will compete in both indoor pool and open water disciplines:
- Pool Events
- Surface Finswimming (SF): 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m
- Bi-Fins (BF): 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m
- Mixed Relays: 4x100m SF and 4x50m BF
- Open Water Events
- 500m Surface
- 500m Bi-Fins
All races will be held as direct finals in the morning sessions, with medal ceremonies following immediately to honor the achievements of these young athletes.

Athletes and families will be accommodated at Hotel Ez-Zahra Dar Tunis, a charming seaside property just minutes from the competition venues. With gardens, a pool, sea views, and easy access to the historic heart of Tunis, the hotel blends comfort, elegance, and convenience.

Fees and Registration
Participation packages start at €450, inclusive of full board accommodation, local transport, and access to events. Family packages are also available. All registrations must be completed via the CMAS portal by 22nd June 2025, with final booking forms due by 12th August 2025.
For those needing a visa, the organizing committee must be contacted no later than 2nd July 2025.
