🇮🇹 Federica Verdoya, former Genoese finswimmer, in Israele 🇮🇱 for a 80 km Running

Davide Manca

On October 18th 2018, Federica Verdoya, former finswimmer from Genoa, will leave Italy to go to Israele in the desert of Negev for taking part to the Negev Adventure, a 80 kms Running sponsred by Donna Moderna, a popular Italian weekly dedicated to women. Federica was a long distance finswimmer, and after giving up Finswimming after 16 years, and started to run only 2 years ago.

BIO

Federica Verdoya, 21 years old from Genoa, Federica lives with Alberto, the partner who shares with her the passion for running. She studies and trains between Padua and Venice. Her biggest dream is to enter the Forestry Sports Corps, thanks to athletics.
For 15 years she did competitive finswimming. Do you remember “the little mermaids? ” Then two years ago she started running: “When I run I feel my breath and I get excited,” she says. Imagine the Negev as a wild and hard place: the ideal place to challenge yourself even more.

This summer she prepared herself in the mountains and did double training every day. A fear? “If I feel tired and the body does not respond as it should, I tend to throw myself down.” In Israel, however, priority is not to win but to have fun.
